Catrice Gel Eyeliner & Eyeliner Brush

Catrice Gel Eyeliner : Black Jack with Jack Black

I'm sure everyone knows my addiction to gel eyeliners by now, it's a never ending story. So recently I wanted to try out the Catrice Gel Eyeliner, mainly because I love the Essence Gel Eyeliner, and Essence and Catrice are one company. The Catrice Gel Eyeliner comes in a beautiful black and gold shimmer eyeliner and a plain black gel eyeliner. I have a few gold or shimmer infused eyeliners, so I decided to take the plain black eyeliner called Black Jack with Jack Black.

The Catrice Gel Eyeliner comes in a beautiful glass pot, with a pitch black lid, the lid has a beautiful design of the word "eyeliner" which I thought was quite cute and trendy. I would give Catrice a big thumbs up for presentation because as soon as my eyes caught the gel eyeliner, I wanted it.

The actual gel eyeliner is just as amazing as the tub, and is nothing near a let down. I was quite impressed with the eyeliner. It had a rich creamy texture, which is high pigmented and absolutely dark in colour (something I look for in eyeliners, they must be highly pigmented). The rich texture made the eyeliner easier to use because it applied smoothly on to eyelids. I also loved the texture because it allowed me to define my eyeliner line the way I like it, without messing or looking uneven.

The gel eyeliner stayed on for almost six hours (that's the longest I wore the eyeliner) without irritating my eyes because I have very sensitive eyes. The colour of the eyeliner doesn't fade at all, so you getting a beautiful deep black eyeliner line with no fading, the gel eyeliner didn't smudge once it was dry either, which is another thing I really liked about the eyeliner. I would say once the eyeliner is dry, it stays on until you remove it.

Under eye make up remover, this gel eyeliner melts effortlessly, making it easy to remove the eyeliner, with no panda eyes! I also liked the fact that you really don't need a lot of eyeliner to create the look you want, because the eyeliner is absolutely light in texture and smooths in perfectly, it also is very high pigmented so the colour is beautifully dark and intense.

I would really recommend you give this eyeliner a try. This Catrice Gel Eyeliner is absolutely amazing and it's a must have in every make up bag! The pigments are intense and long lasting and perfect if long lasting eyeliner and a well defined look is what you're looking for. This Gel Eyeliner retails at R54 per pot, which I find reasonable because this is an amazing gel eyeliner for the price. I would recommend you use this gel eyeliner with the Catrice Gel Eyeliner Brush.

Catrice Gel Eyeliner Brush

This brush is amazing, absolutely amazing. The first thing I really love about the gel eyeliner brush is that it's a two way brush. On one side of the brush is the original eyeliner brush, which is fine and slanted, it helps create the perfect gel eyeliner look, while on the other side the brush is curved, so you can create a more intense look without bending your hand!

I find the curved end of the brush much easier to use because I can have my hand straight and still get a perfect, well defined line. The bristles on both the slanted eyeliner brush and the curved eyeliner brush are both soft and gentle, they don't irritate eyes or poke or hurt eyes.

The brush retails at R35 which is a reasonable price because it will change the way you apply gel eyeliner from the moment you try it out. The brush has a long enough space to be held which ever way you want to use it, which is a good thing because I find it much much easier now than I used to find it to apply eyeliner.

I would really recommend you try this brush out, it's perfect to apply gel eyeliner, and if you're patient enough, you can also try it with the liquid liner or glitter eyeliner. It's a one of a kind brush and it comes in a clear pouch to keep your brush safe in your make up bag away from bacteria. This is a must have for all gel eyeliner lovers, once you've tried it...you'll wonder how you've been living without it.
