Wednesday's Weekly Manicure by Michelle Roberts

Hi lovelies,
I hope you had a great long weekend.  I know it came at a perfect time for me.  Just a pity it went so fast.

I am so in love with OPI – Push and shove that I just can’t stop using it. I am also still completely obsessed with stamping so today is a combination of the two.
I started with the special base coat – OPI – Lay down that base – and then 2 coats of OPI – Push and shove on my pinky, middle and index.  I then used 2 coats of Essence – Free hugs on my ring and thumb.  When that was all completely dry I stamped using Pueen31.  I used Essence – free hugs to stamp on the silver and OPI – Push and shove to stamp on the pink.  Topcoat and you’re done.
I know the instructions say not to topcoat Push and shove but I always topcoat stamping otherwise it is just inclined to come off.  I also think topcoat makes the stamping even more opaque.
Do you think the topcoat has dulled Push and shove?  Do you also like the pink and silver together?  I’d love to hear what you think of this.

Thanks for reading.

Xoxo

L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga

I spotted this beauty during my holiday in Dubai, I heard many of the bloggers await for this mascara to hit South African shores, so I purchased it instantly. I knew basically nothing about this mascara, which changed very quickly! Firstly the packaging of this mascara is just too cute! If you're a girly girl... then I'd expect you to get this mascara in your make up bag as soon as possible!
The first thing which would catch your eye is the gorgeous packaging, the mascara tube comes in a half black and half hot pink metallic lid with a mixture of pink and black writing, I'd say on a marketing front... This look is definitely going to get quite a few buyers because it is girly, gorgeous and you wouldn't mind taking this out to show off to your girls.
I purchased this mascara in black, but it is also available in purple and turquoise. The mascara brush is in a cone shape, which allows easy application, more volume and gorgeous lashes. The front part of the brush is quite flexible on all sides, which makes it easier to get gorgeous lashes at every angle.

After trying this mascara, I have to admit... It is so amazing, because it transforms lashes within seconds, it is simple to use and gives lashes much more definition, volume and the look everyone is dying to get. I'd say it is a reasonably affordable mascara for the look you're trying to get.
I especially like the fact that this mascara isn't going to let me down, it lasts the entire day, doesn't smudge or give me panda eyes, but effortlessly melts with make up remover, isn't this what everyone is looking for?

Monday Must Have: Avon Glow Limited Edition Blusher Bronzer Duo

So I basically own every Avon Glow product out so far, and I was very excited when Avon introduced this amazing limited edition blusher and bronzer duo. The product comes in a compact which is similar to the Avon eye shadow compact, but in a golden shimmering bronze colour, which shimmers in the light. The compact has the text "Avon Glow" printed in gold as well as the Avon Glow logo (the sun). The Avon Glow Limited Edition Blusher Bronzer Duo comes in a standard shade called Rose Glow.

Inside the compact is the largest mirror I've ever seen which is perfect if you're applying your make up else where. The compact contains a golden bronze pressed bronzer as well as a shimmering soft pink blush in the shade Rose. The blush is quite shimmering while the bronzer is very matte  and can be used separately or together to achieve a bronzed pink blush which I've tried and looks quite nice. I'm impressed at the shade selection because the shades match all skin tones and will make you look like the bronze goddess you're trying to be.

The bronzer and the blush are both good quality and blend in quite well with foundation and face powder, so there will be no fuss. The bronzer and blush are very well pigmented so I really like the colour payout because it's rich, vibrant and lasts all day long so you'll shimmer and shine all day or night because the shades are perfect for both day time or night time look. The only downfall of the product is that the compact doesn't include a mini brush to apply the bronzer and blush on the go.

I would really recommend you give this product a try. It retails at around R100 for a compact and is quite long lasting. I would really recommend you give it a try for this Summer because nobody can resist a beautiful bronzed glow. Plus the compact is limited edition so you may not get a chance to purchase it further in the year.
