Essence: Highlighter Powder

Oz :The Great and Powerful has recently become a hit in South Africa, and Essence didn't lose the opportunity to bring a limited edition range of products to have all the fans on their toes. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, however the products that have been brought in the range drove me insane. I had to purchase as much as I could because they were really amazing products.

This highlighter powder is one of the amazing products from the range and comes in the colour : 01 The great and the powderful, which I found really good and catchy, mainly because the product is a highlighter powder.

The main reason I purchased this highlighter powder, besides the fact that its a highlighter powder and a girl can never have enough highlighter powders, but because the product has a good design which I really liked. The actual highlighter powder had words engraved all around the powder and had sayings and words swirled around like:
Master of illusion
Generosity
Things are not always as they always
Goodness
Kindness

All the words are related to the movie, which give the powder a really good effect is what I felt when I first opened the powder, plus I was really impressed because the whole "embossed" look is really impressive and adds a lot of quality and class to a product.

I applied the highlighter powder using an angled brush to achieve a more defined look to my cheek bones, in the natural light I found that the highlighter powder gave me a lot of a bronzed sparkle look and actually gave me a golden sun kissed look rather than made me look like a disco ball, however in the sunlight the highlighter powder did give me a pretty good sparkle (yes! I love a good sparkle) just not day time, so I would recommend skipping this highlighter powder during the day!

I would really recommend you give this product a try because it is an amazing highlighter, and will give you the perfect sparkle for any function or party. It's also a perfect gift for any Oz fan out there!
